D-core (MAG)

MACRO scale

K-core is a known metric of graph degeneracy that reveals progressively tightly connected cliques of nodes that can be considered highly influential. D-core is a directed adaptation that is computed over the author-citation network, in order to capture the scientist's influenceability and reciprocity. This page visualizes the D-core map, the red cell in the diagonal can be considered the overall influence of a scientist. Our D-core measure is also adopted by AMiner, the prominent Chinese academic portal.
